Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita or Humanity Has Declined (in English) is an anime adaptation of the on-going novel by the same name. The synopsis of the story I read so far, however, does not introduce you to the absurdity that you will be seeing. A better word will be to call the synopsis a preface or foreword.

If I am to give a summary, I will state the preface plus mention that it is an absurdist fiction; elements such as satire, incongruity and the abasement of reason are largely present. This is all thanks to our fairy friends who are in search of endless fun and enjoyment. Such is a good example of a fine line between insanity and genius. And their plastered smile on their face doesn’t aid with their characterization either.

500WL is a series(hopefully) of reviews on the anime/manga which I completed. And as the title states, it is only about 500 words long, hence it is categorised under short article and should take you no more than 3 minutes to complete reading. That is the whole point of the review, for it to be short and concise, yet provide you with enough information on the story (hopefully).

I will not cover about the art and music (where applicable), just the story and characters as I have no clue about the art, CGI or whatever. Occasionally I will talk about the music if it catches my attention.

The tagline is modified from Writing Excuses. If you are an aspiring writer, go listen to them. They are amazing.

Rideback is set in the future after GGP took over as superpower. It shows the life of Rin Ogata in her first year of University and her newly joined club about Rideback.
Highlights of the stories are:

1. GGP’s dictatorship approach after it gains power.
2. And more importantly, Rin Ogata’s search for something else in life after she loses her one only stage.

The anime started with showing Rin Ogata initial interaction with Rideback while she tries to figure out what Rideback means to her. As the story unfolds, it slowly reveals that she is unable to meet her own expectation in ballet, especially because she keeps comparing it with her amazing mum, and she is unsure where her stage is (what life means to her).

From her, I am unable to figure out initially what she is trying...

I bumped into a few issues while planning. I have to say that this is the most painful trip to plan for me thus far.

The real issue is not with the language or the lack of information; it is that the information are everywhere on the net. And since you don’t need a private tour like in some country, time to hunt for info or buy lonely planet.

Case in Point:
Day 1: To get to Sokcho from Seoul, you can travel by car, bus or walk(joking). I will not drive so I will talk about taking the bus.

Bus
Most website will mention about taking bus from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. They also talk about Kobus webpage whereby you can view the available seats and timing etc.
Please note that they are actually talking about 2 different type of buses and bus terminals. And the terminals are not side by side. Routes maybe different too.

If mosquitoes love you as much as they love me, you will find yourself feeding them in Bali if you are not careful.

Some precautionary measures that I took which worked for me are mosquito patches and repellent. I used both at the same time; Pretty crazy I know. But once when I was visiting the loo in my villa, I got bitten and it really swell so I became more cautious after that. (The wash room was partly open air =D)

If you are allergic to the repellent like my partner, Do not Spray on the skin and use more than one patch.

I do not know how it will work for water activities because the only water activity that we did was soaking in our private pool. And I brought the patches that were already opened beside the pool ;D.
